Boina Andes Beret

A beautiful color work beret!

The Boina Andes is a beret design inspired by the Andes Mountains, a mountain range located in South America and that in Santiago de Chile we can enjoy so much. This project calls for a heavy worsted yarn and you can finish it in a couple of afternoons. Ideal for begginers willing to learn the stranded colorwork technique, or for more advanced knitters who wish to wind down whith a relaxing pattern, the Boina Andes will be your favorite accesory for this winter.

One size: • For a head with approximately 56 cm/22.5” of circumference. • Final measurements in the widest part of the crown: 26 cm/10.5”.

Yarn and Yardage: * 142 m/155 yd of heavy worsted weight yarn. Sample features: Rosarios4 BioWool 100% organic wool. 72 m/50g (78 yd/1.75 oz)

Colors: • Color 1: 27 m/30 yd (Beige 29) • Color 2: 65 m/72 yd (Ecru 01) • Color 3: 50 m/55 yd (Gray 35)

Suggested Needles:

  • 5 mm/US 8 small circular needles, double-pointed needles or favorite method for working small circumferences in the round, or size needed to obtain gauge.

  • 4 mm/US 6 small circular needles, double-pointed needles or favorite method for working small circumferences in the round, or two sizes smaller than the size needed to obtain gauge.
